 YOUR OWN RULES FOR HEALTHY LIVING

Healthy living is the solid base (твердое основание) for any health improvement (развитие). It includes all the habits that should become part of our daily lives. Our future wellbeing (здоровье) or diseases will arise from how we think, feel and live habitually, not from any occasional transgressions (проступки) of the rules of healthy living.

The most important general principle of healthy living is to live in harmony with the forces of nature - to live naturally. This concept includes our environment, housing (проживание в доме), workplace, exercise and nutrition (питание), the water we drink and the air we breathe.

What is the most significant in this aspect is the active way of life. That is going in for sports, doing morning exercises regularly, sluicing yourself down with cold water, walking barefoot.  The food we eat and the way we eat it are of utmost importance too. We should eat only if we are hungry but not because it is time to eat. Moreover, we should eat only wholefood, natural products, more fruit and vegetables. One should remember that fruit and vegetables should make about 50% of our daily meal. To add to this, we must remember that overeating is extremely unhealthy. Besides, very important to avoid all kinds of artificial stimulators, such as: coffee, tea, alcohol. Smoking is also injurious to health.  

We should try to do without pills and medicines. Our sleep is very important for healthy leaving too. We should find enough time for sleeping, as a good sleep helps to keep oneself fresh, young and healthy.

Avoiding stressful situations, communicating only with people who are pleasant for you to communicate with will also lead to healthy living. At least try to find the cause of your problems and stress and fight them. 

Develop only good habits in yourself, develop you will-power. 

Pay more attention to yourself, your body and soul. It will raise your tone and  self-esteem.

Try to spend more time outdoors, somewhere near a river or a lake, in a forest or in a park. But itТs better to choose an ecologically safe place. What I mean is that the environmental problem has become one of the most burning issues of the day. And in this respect I speak about air, land and water pollution. Pollution is caused by cars that exhaust poisonous gases into the air, by plants and factories, electric power stations that release dirt and chemicals into the atmosphere, by the release of oil from tankers into the sea. Very often the pollutants which are used in our agriculture (I mean fertilizers and pesticides) are washed into the rivers and end up in the seas and oceans killing fish, sea animals and the plankton which accounts for one fifth of the earthТs oxygen.

Well, IТve digressed from the theme. So what is really important is to choose the right place for you rest.

In conclusion IТd like to introduce the basic rules for healthy leaving, as I can see it, from a psychological point of view which I guided by:

-         one should fence off the past and the future, and live for a moment

-         to fling oneself into activity (уйти с головой в де¤тельность)

-         donТt let anyone to throw you from balance

-         donТt go through the moments you have gone through

-         apprehend the critics as a compliment

-         donТt think a minute about the people you donТt like

-         think only about pleasant things; our own thoughts make our life

-         count your successes only but not your misfortunes

-         do not wait for peopleТs gratitude Ц try to give more to people

If one follows the aforesaid advices heТll surely be healthy, young and blooming.
